Latest round of Nexus 7 renders reveals new wallpaper


We’ve been seeing a fantastic amount of info concerning this year’s hardware refresh of the Nexus 7 tablet turn up lately. That’s started to include some official-looking press renders of the tablet, and earlier today we saw its appearance in a leaked retailer circular. In those, the wallpaper displayed matched what we’re used to from the Nexus 10; that’s led to a few questions about Google’s M.O. for launches, since especially if we’re seeing Android 4.3 arrive with this guy, we’d expect to see it get a new, fresh-looking wallpaper. Ask and ye shall receive, for this latest round of new Nexus 7 renders to arrive indeed reveals a new wallpaper.

Other than that, this is more of the same looking hardware, albeit from a couple new angles, as well. Taken all together with those previous leaks, and we’ve got very high confidence in how this hardware will look when it launches.

Google’s got that breakfast event coming up this Wednesday – check in with us for coverage (only breakfast on the West Coast – things get started at noon EDT) and see if Google doesn’t make the new Nexus 7 official.
