Rumors about a next-gen Nexus 7 tablet really picked up in intensity last week, delivering the first compelling visual evidence of the tablet to date. We followed that up with some really nice-looking press renders over the weekend, and today get to augment all that with one more view of the hardware, alongside a new leak giving some additional insight into Google’s launch plans.
Those earlier renders showed off the new Nexus 7 from the front and rear, and to that, tipster @evleaks adds a new side view, visible down below.
More interesting than that, perhaps, a leaked Best Buy circular attempts to reveal the Nexus 7′s retail availability. We had already heard July 31 mentioned as a possibility, and if we’re to believe the provenance of this leak, it’s a flyer set to run on Sunday, July 28 – that would make the Tuesday availability mentioned here point to July 30. That’s not quite what we were expecting, but it’s close enough to have us wondering if there just might be something to this.
Beyond just helping us out with a launch date, this flyer also attempts to corroborate what we’ve already heard about pricing, with a $230 base price for the 16GB model.
