VLC for iPhone and iPad back in the iTunes App Store

VLC for iPhone was removed from the Apple iTunes App Store on January 8, 2011, after some “incompatibilities” between the GNU General Public License governing the VLC Media Player application and the Apple App Store terms of use. As of June 30, the application is back and you can grab it from the link below. It also received an update today.

The new VLC app supports all the media formats that the computer version is able to play back, and it also brings some iPhone specific features to the table, like AirPlay, background audio, network streaming and more. Oh, and it also has an iPad specific version for iOS tablet owners!
