Even though one might think that HP already had its chance at becoming successful in the mobile landscape, it is always good to see new (and old) players join the game. HP’s Senior Director Yam Su Yin said earlier this month that the company might be planning on returning to the smartphone business.
On that exact note, a couple of renders (mock-ups) have surfaced on the internet allegedly depicting an HP Android phone. According to the report there is no information attached to these images, so don’t expect specs and pricing. What we can see is Android (since webOS is no longer with HP) running on a rather generic phone which has a very iPhone-ish outline and camera placement, alongside a bottom-mounted LED notification and a webcam on the top right. We’ll keep our skeptical hat on as far as this render is concerned.
