Just over a month ago, LG confirmed the long-standing (since last year) rumors of a white Nexus 4, announcing the phone’s launch. A couple days after that, we saw the phone go up for sale in the US through the Google Play Store. From the start, Google was clear that this was a limited edition version of the smartphone, but apparently that was far more true than we realized: now, after just about a month of sales, the white Nexus 4 is gone.
Well, that’s not entirely accurate; T-Mobile still has the phone if you feel like paying too much, and we can’t say what the situation is like all around the globe, but so far as sales through Google Play to US customers go, the window has closed on your chance to get the white Nexus 4.
As such, Google has stopped promoting the white Nexus 4 through the Play Store, and manually pulling up the phone’s old page (or just hitting that source link below) clearly reveals that the phone is “no longer available for sale.”
While that really was a flash in the pan for the white Nexus 4, we suppose it served its purpose; teased for as long as it was, we imagine anyone who had been holding out for its arrival has already snagged one by now.
And like that… it was gone.
