Today’s LG G2 leak is an interesting one. What we have here are a couple of screenshots apparently snapped off of an upcoming promo footage for the LG G2. This phone is expected to be the LG Optimus G follow-up and while the screenshots aren’t really telling, there are a couple of interesting things to note.
First of all, LG seems to have dropped the “Optimus” from the name, as hinted, hence the LG G2 moniker. The interesting thing is happening at the back where LG apparently positioned two buttons. We believe these could be volume rockers since they are labeled with a plus and a minus, on top and on the bottom of the flash. Also the top left part of the back features another component. It might be a focus assist lamp or, as other reports imply, a back-mounted notification LED.
There were many leaks of the “Optimus” G2 in the past but the most recent information we’ve got refers to an August 7 event, one month before IFA, where the South Korean phone maker might unveil the G2.
