An interesting report from Nikkei was quoted by Reuters claiming that Microsoft might bring Xbox and PC games to Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms, among others. It should happen, according to the report, this fiscal year.
This move will be reportedly possible via a licensing deal with Japanese smartphone game developer Klab. The Japanese company will be the one who will allegedly bring Microsoft’s Xbox and Windows computer games to the iPhone, as well as phones running Android. On that exact note, the report claims that popular title Age of Empires “will be available as a free-to-play game worldwide on smartphones by the end of the fiscal year 2013 and other titles will follow, the report said.”
