Amidst all the new hardware, Samsung gives Galaxy S 4 some new color options

Today’s Samsung Premiere event may have been a lot less eagerly awaited than the Galaxy S 4 launch, but it was it sure came through with a lot more hardware. After all, not only did Samsung get the chance to tell us all about the new GS4-series models it’s been announcing one-by-one over the preceding weeks, but it also brought some new Windows 8 gear (including the oh-so-appealing ATIV Q) to make this a real cross-platform event – something we really don’t see enough of. But beyond all this new hardware there were also some more low-key announcements, including new color options for the Galaxy S 4 itself.

Going forward, the GS4 will be add Blue Arctic, Purple Mirage, Red Aurora, Brown Autumn, and Pink Twilight editions to what’s available.

Of course, it’s not like GS4 fans were hurting for color options before, as the official S View and flip covers give users plenty of ways to customize the phone in their hue of choice, not to mention the different base color options already out there.

While it wasn’t confirmed today, we’re also looking forward to some special edition GS4 designs becoming available through Verizon.
