Galaxy S 4 Zoom: Image Sample

Samsung’s Galaxy S 4 Zoom has been coming at us like a snowball rolling down a hill lately, adding rumor after rumor to its story as it quickly turns from something wholly unknown to a device that’s really feeling like it’s nearly about to arrive. We’ve still got lots of questions about just what this hardware could be like, but as we wait for those answers we can finally check out one important ability of a model called the Zoom: its ability to take pictures.

The above image was posted to Picasa by someone who appears to be a Samsung employee, identified as coming from the Samsung SM-C101. While we’ve also seen the GS4 Zoom attached to model SM-C1010, SM-C101 is the most recent one to be affiliated with the hardware.

At only 1080 x 1920 as posted to Picasa, this clearly isn’t a full-res shot, and evidence of editing work in Snapseed suggests either scaling or cropping. As such, we’ll have to look elsewhere for a proper assessment of the GS4 Zoom’s camera prowess, but this, at least, is a start.

If the rumors have been accurate, we might hope to see the GS4 Zoom announced before the month is out.
