HTC not Sweating the Galaxy S 4, Says One “Stands up Positively” Against It

As you’ve probably seen, when it comes to choosing between the HTC One or Samsung’s Galaxy S 4, we here at Pocketonow are heavily leaning towards the One. While we appreciated Samsung’s effort, little things like an uninspired design and gimmicky software found us turning our praises towards the One, instead. Apparently we’re not the only ones who think that the One is more than adequate competition for the GS4, as HTC’s North American President was recently talking about One sales in light of the GS4’s arrival, and he seems positively optimistic.

Mike Woodward describes One sales this week as “brisk,” declining to offer any specific numbers. He was able to offer, though, that a number of retailers had manged to sell out of the phone.

As for the Galaxy S 4, Woodward says that HTC has been trying to look at this wave of initial GS4 reviews in terms of the HTC One, and is pretty satisfied with how the One stacks up in comparison. Specifically, he says that HTC is proud about the amount of attention the One’s design has been getting – an area where we found the GS4 lacking.
