With all the leaked renders, hardware rumors, and images of phone components we’ve been seeing, it’s sure been looking like the Nokia Lumia 928 has been nearly ready to drop. While the phone is at its heart the same Lumia 920 we saw launch last fall, improvements like an AMOLED display and a xenon flash give the 928 just enough polish to have us eagerly awaiting its retail availability; just when will that be, though? A new rumors attempts to reveal just that, claiming that Verizon could be planning to announce the 928 in one week, on April 25.
Following that announcement, the carrier could intend to put the 928 up for sale in early May, with both May 2 and May 9 floated as potential dates.
While there’s nothing in the way of evidence yet to back these claims up, they sure feel like they fit Verizon’s M.O., and would allow the carrier to get the Lumia 928 out before it turns its attention to Galaxy S 4 sales.
