WhatsApp Executive Debunks Google Acquisition Rumors

Recent rumors of Google preparing to acquire WhatsApp appear to be just that, rumors. Companies don’t usually comment on speculation but it seems that WhatsApp felt the need to debunk this one, denying involvement in discussions to sell the company to Google.

There was even a price tag attached to previous hear-say: $1 billion. However, WhatsApp’s business development head Neeraj Arora came on record to state that the company is not in talks with Google. Apparently the executive declined to comment further but the statement should be enough to put rumors to rest, at least for now, as WhatsApp continues to be among the top applications on all platforms.
