You’ve seen us go hands-on. You’ve read our review. Need a little more? Still haven’t made your mind up yet about the HTC One? HTC may have just what you’re looking for, and could be coming to a city near you to help convince you of the Android’s worth. Today, the company announced a cross-country marketing campaign to engage potential customers and show them just what the HTC One is capable of.
The whole thing can be broken down into a few phases. First up, there’s the BoomSound Lounge, which will feature pop-up listening booths to let users hear what kind of audio output the One delivers. Beyond that, some of these locations will host live concerts thrown in conjunction with Live Nation; Pharrell will be performing at the Lounge in NYC, for instance. If you’re not in the right city, the other locations will feature live streams of the concerts. Look for the BoomSound Lounge in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, LA, Atlanta, and Philadelphia.
Then there’s the HTC One Showroom, which will be coming to select malls. These will be around for about three months, and give you a chance to go hands-on with the phone yourself. Starting April 11, you’ll be able to find them in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, LA, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
Finally, there’s the HTC Live Cinema Experience. In certain movie theaters, HTC will have live demos taking place in the theater’s lobby, while also showing the latest HTC One promotional spots on the big screen. There’s no word yet on just which theaters will be included.
If you’ve already made up your mind about the One, pre-orders are already open.
