After the recent leaks of the BlackBerry roadmap for 2013, we did notice that aside from the Q10 that should be released at the beginning of Q2, we should also receive an R10 some time in the fall. Sadly, even though we thought the R-Series was going to be bigger and better than the Q-Series, some leaked photos prove otherwise.
Apparently these photos are of the BlackBerry R10, and by the looks of it, there’s no additional premium here to what you’ll get on the Q10. On the contrary, this looks to be more of the BlackBerry Curve successor, which was always more of a budget-minded device that followed the old Bold line-up. It’s always great to see budget devices in the market, but when we saw the leaked road map, we thought the curve at the bottom of the display meant that it would be a new innovation in screen design.
The R-Series apparently will ship with just 8GB of storage, and less everything when compared to the Q10. Let’s see how this plays out.
