Just under a week ago, we caught wind of the 1308 update for the Nokia Lumia 920 on AT&T lurking on Nokia’s servers, thanks to some NaviFirm exploration. That had us thinking that the update’s public distribution was just around the corner (sparing you from losing all your data with a manual flash), but we were unsure as to precisely when that might be. Well, it turns out that day is today, as we’ve just gotten word that the 1308 update is currently available OTA.
We’ve talked about this release a couple times before, but to refresh your memory 1308 fixes issues with “other” storage filling-up and offers new customizable settings to adjust your screen’s display quality. The 920 already has a great camera, but this software update should make it even better, tweaking the experience for better white balance and image sharpness.
Altogether, this sounds like some very useful stuff, so if you haven’t seen a notification yet, go into settings and manually check to get started with this new Lumia firmware.
