HTC, the company which just recently slashed the “Quietly Brilliant” wording from its branding, is reportedly teaming up with Qualcomm, the manufacturer of the Snapdragon 600 SoC powering the HTC One, for a joint HTC One promotional effort. The information comes from “market sources” but apparently the fruit if the effort, first promo videos, are airing at the ongoing Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2013, as Shen Jin, vice president of Qualcomm Greater China, said.
Qualcomm will lend a hand to HTC in promoting the One; the company is reportedly planning on achieving that through advertisements where it will recommend the device. The Snapdragon 600 SoC is also at the core of HTC’s competitors: LG (with its Optimus G Pro) and more recently, Samsung (with its Galaxy S 4 variant).
