Remember “the fastest smartphone ever”? The text was called out on the invitation sent out to a few media outlets by Lava, for the unveiling of the next Xolo device, powered by Intel. The event took place in Goa and “the fastest smartphone ever” is now official.
We’re looking at the Xolo X1000 and it should land as early as March 20. It features a 4.7-inch 720p display and it is powered by the highest-end
new Intel Atom processor — part of the Clover Trail+ Medfield family — the Z2480 clocking at 2GHz. It also packs 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot), eight-megapixel camera and the platform of choice is (sadly) Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Powering it all there’s a 1,900 mAh battery.
It will cost 19,999 INR (around $369) in India but there’s no info yet on global availability and pricing.
