…and it’s not the Samsung Galaxy S IV! Wait, what? Got to love marketing talk as well as companies trying to steal the show from each other. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S IV on March 14 in New York and Lava has just sent out invites for an event happening on the same day, a couple of hours earlier.
Lava has released smartphones with Intel processors in the past and the device which the company will unveil this Thursday will also run Intel, touted as the “fastest smartphone ever”. The chip-maker has unveiled its new SoC line-up at this year’s MWC, dubbed Clover Trail+. Solutions in the line-up: Z2580 maxing out at 2GHz with four threads, Z2560 at 1.6GHz and Z2520 at 1.2GHz. The GPU is common to all: PowerVR SGX 544MP2.
The SoC of choice is subject to speculation but with such a tagline we’re expecting one of the two top SoCs above from Intel to breathe power in the phone.
The event will happen in Goa, India and here’s the invite that was sent out to some press outlets.
