The BlackBerry Z10 is a nice introduction to the world of BlackBerry 10, but for many old fans of BlackBerry, the Q10 with its hardware keyboard may be the more desirable device. We’re looking for the international retail launch of the Q10 to occur sometime in April, but have heard that the US wouldn’t see the Q10 for itself until another eight to ten weeks after it hits stores abroad. That could place its availability out as far as June, but a new rumor suggests that at least one US carrier would offer the Q10 sooner, with rumors that T-Mobile plans to start selling the phone in May.
N4BB reports talking to T-Mobile representatives at a BlackBerry Experience Forum 2013 event, where they were told about plans for the Q10 this May. We can’t say for sure how official such news might be, but it’s a good start, and considering how often we see leaked T-Mobile roadmaps, it might not be long before we get some confirmation.
Sprint has separately said that it will carry the Q10 as well (no Z10 for it), but hasn’t offered a timetable; it could follow T-Mobile with a May start to sales, or we might see things postponed until June.
