Sony introduced the Xperia ZL together with the Xperia Z at this year’s CES and the two devices are sporting about the same internals, more or less. We’ve just received the Xperia Z in our labs for an unboxing and the usual review treatment, while the Xperia ZL got its own spot on Sony’s online store.
The Xperia Z and ZL share the same display, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC, and thirteen-megapixel camera with HDR video recording capabilities. The official Sony site, despite listing the Xperia ZL, doesn’t mention any prices or exact dates for availability. Since we’re talking about the unlocked, SIM-free phone, expect the price to be higher than what you’re used to from carriers (with rumors claiming around $760).
LTE capability is included in the specs and the three color options available are red, black, and white. If the Xperia ZL is something you’re interested in head over to the source link and subscribe to be notified. Either way, stay tuned for our full coverage of the Xperia Z!
