We’re a bit skeptical when it comes to rumors, regardless of the make or model they try to anticipate, but with all the Galaxy S4 buzz it would have been at least weird not to have some Apple hear-say making the headlines. On that exact note, reports are claiming knowledge of Apple’s plans for its next iPhone and iPad models.
The iPhone 5 will be followed by the iPhone 5S, claim said rumors, which will basically maintain the new design introduced by the iPhone 5, but pack better internals. As with the 4 vs 4S, the 5S will allegedly have a faster processor as well as a better camera (or maybe just the optics).
As far as the iPad is concerned, April seems to be claimed as the month we’ll see the next full-sized iPad, the iPad 5, and the iPad mini follow-up, dubbed iPad mini 2. While the iPad 5 is expected to sport a new redesign, in line with the iPhone 5 and iPad mini, the iPad mini 2 should get a higher resolution display. This, however, is not something confirmed at the moment by this report. iOS itself could also benefit from a facelift!
Update: Of course there’s a new rumor since we posted, with a completely different approach! Analysts predict the iPhone 5S will land in early summer, together with a new phone sporting a fresh design, referred to as the “low cost” iPhone, made out of fiberglass and plastic.
