We’ve been talking a lot about Samsung’s Galaxy S IV over the past weeks and months, and so far that’s largely all been the stuff of rumors. Sure, there have been benchmarks, and maybe even a few camera samples, but the lion’s share of the news surrounding the handset has been composed of rumors and speculation. Well, as we start to get into the home stretch now, some of those rumors are finally starting to become fact, and Samsung has now confirmed the latest one to discuss just when the phone could be announced, distributing invitations for an Unpacked event on March 14.
While we were earlier looking to March 15 as a potential launch date, last week rumors arrived that Samsung would move things up to March 14, instead. Sure enough, the company has begun handing out physical invitations to attendees of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, notifying them as to this now-official March 14 date.
This Unpacked event will be held in New York City, kicking off that evening at 7PM. That gives us just two-and-a-half weeks to go until we can finally check out this Android heavyweight for ourselves.
