With close to 2,000 stores in the US and Canada, Staples is one large office supply chain store which definitely needs no introduction if you live in one of the 26 countries worldwide in which it is present, including the USA. In Canada you are already able to purchase Apple products from Staples and it looks like the US is not far away with that either.
Apple might be expanding its US distribution with the addition of Staples, even though neither company officially confirmed the report. However, Staples employees took the news to their Twitter accounts: Regis Mulot, SVP of Global Human Resources, tweeted that “After Canada, #Apple products are coming to #Staples in US. Great news!; Michael Goggin, Field Services Manager, tweeted: “Staples just finalized a deal to begin selling Apple products #finally”; Erin LaFlamme’s, Strategic Accounts Coordinator tweeted: “Thanks #Apple for letting #Staples sell you…oh, and for the delicious apple products to celebrate at…” with an Instagram link.
However, first tweet got deleted and the second is inaccessible due to a (now) private account. Same story for the third but it looks like the Instagram link is still active.
There’s no confirmation nor official information regarding when exactly will Apple products be available at Staples.
