Apple and Google are both rumored to be working on their own smartwatches but it looks like Samsung isn’t planing on sitting this one out. We’ve heard of the codename “Altius” — latin for “higher” — when we heard vague rumors that the alleged “Project J” might have been renamed to “Altius J”. More recently the Galaxy S IV has been rumored to wear the Altius tag but today there’s a new twist.
Samsung Galaxy Altius is reportedly a smartwatch. It is running a dedicated OS, called Altius OS, and if the top left icon is any indication it looks like it is connected to a cellular tower (on South Korean SK Telecom network). The resolution appears to be 500×500 pixels (if the alleged screenshots were not tampered with) which would result in a 471PPI rating if the screen would be 1.5-inches in diagonal.
