A couple days back, we told you about some new rumors that suggested the Galaxy S IV we’re so excited about could arrive alongside some other models, all part of Samsung’s larger “Project J.” One of those was claimed to be the Project J Mini, and with the GS4 purported to be Project J’s namesake device, it sounded a whole lot like this could be the Galaxy S IV Mini. Now some new rumors give us a little clearer picture of when that phone might actually make its retail debut.
This rumor claims that Samsung has set a deadline for when Project J Mini’s various cover accessories must be ready for sale, and that it’s for week 21 of 2013. That’s May 20 through May 26, and assuming that deadline exists so that the phone can launch with those cases ready, it’s not a huge leap to suggest that the Galaxy S IV Mini will go up for sale right around that time.
Of course, we’re still in the dark as to the phone’s hardware itself, and based on how the Galaxy S III Mini was equipped, we’re concerned it might be victim to a bit too many performance trade-offs. If the GS4 Mini ends up being announced alongside its bigger brother, we might hope to get all those details sometime next month.
