Obviously, we’re hugely excited for the forthcoming announcement of HTC’s M7, but that’s not the only upcoming HTC Android that’s been rumored. Back at the start of the month, we saw some leaked specs for a pair of other Androids, the M4 and the G2. While we haven’t heard about either of those models since, nor have we seen HTC tease either in the way it’s been doing for the M7, today we finally get something new regarding the G2, upon seeing what could just be the first screenshot from the phone.
The HTC G2 (not to be confused with the HTC Desire Z, also released at the T-Mobile G2) has a 3.5-inch HVGA display, according to those previously-leaked specs. That certainly matches up with the above screenshot, also in a 320 x 480 resolution. While the icons here match what we’ve seen in previous leaks, we don’t see the same redesigned clock and weather widgets as we’ve been associating with Sense 5.0. That just may be how this particular handset is configured, so it need not be cause to dismiss it.
If we don’t end up seeing either the M4 or this G2 at HTC’s February 19 event, there’s always a chance they could show up later at the MWC.
