To Jailbreak or not to Jailbreak, that’s the question we’ve received everywhere for the last 24 hours since Evasi0n was released, and we do understand the concerns of many of you. The fact of the matter is that it’s really a matter of personal preference, and while some may be extremely inclined to do it because of their daily needs of their iPhone or iPad, some users don’t really use their iOS products in a way that would warrant it.
Jailbreaking an iPhone is very different to rooting an Android device. On Android, rooting allows you to load custom ROMs that enable you to really push the hardware to the limit. In the case of iOS, Jailbreaking in a way is rooting, but you’re limited to only installing additional services to your device, and not necessarily installing a whole new operating system. Some services are worth it, some are genius, and some are half-baked as things always are in the “non-approved” community.
That said, after teaching you how to get your Jailbreak working on your iPhone and iPad, we thought we’d put together another video where we tell you why it’s really a no-brainer in the specific case of iOS 6.
Be sure to share your thoughts on why you should or shouldn’t Jailbreak in the comments down bellow. Yes, we can think of another Top 5 reasons why you shouldn’t Jailbreak, so stay tuned for that video as well.
