Ready for a little Samsung mystery? SamMobile just posted details on benchmark results it had uncovered for a handful of upcoming Samsung models, but most of them were low-end phones of little consequence. What really caught our eye, though, was model GT-B9150, with some pretty high-end specs like a 1080p screen, 1.7GHz A15-based Exynos 5 Dual, and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. Just what could Samsung’s plans be for this device?
This isn’t the first time that model number has shown up, and a little searching revealed some previous excitement over it from last October. At the time, it sounded pretty similar to what we’re looking at now, but benchmarks from back then gave the model a 720p display, instead.
One theory has it that this is a high-end tablet, but the “B” in the model number could also suggest that this will be a smartphone with a hardware QWERTY keyboard. The rumors from last fall also talked about the possibility that this could be the first Samsung model with a long-awaited flexible display, folding closed like a book.
As you can see, rumors are all over the place with the GT-B9150, and other than being a high-end model, we’re really not quite sure what to expect.
