We’ve been hearing talk lately about a couple new Nokia Lumia models on the horizon, both a 920-esque model for Verizon codenamed Laser, and Catwalk, a handset supposedly featuring an aluminum frame. As we wait for Nokia’s Mobile World Congress event to hopefully put an end to these rumors and spell-out just what we can expect, a previously-unknown Nokia model number has come to our attention.
Nokia model RM-860 first appeared as a single entry in the Occasional Gamer database used to track instance of Windows Phone handsets running its software. From there, WPCentral was able to confirm the model’s presence on Nokia’s servers through Navifirm, making it appear that this very well could be a legitimate device.
The OG listing has the phone reporting itself as the RM-860_nam_usa_100, which could be evidence for this being that Lumia for Verizon; it appears to be planned for a US release, at any rate. For now, we don’t have any more info on this phone beyond its model number, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for it showing up elsewhere.
