If you joined us in being worried after Nokia’s complete absence at CES 2013, things are about to change. As opposed to last year were Nokia used CES for their Lumia 900 launch and kept MWC for a minor rehash announcement of the same device along with the 808 PureView, Nokia has just sent out press invites for an event on MWC’s first day which happens on Monday, Feburary 25th at 9:00am.
The biggest question is, what will we get? Last year we were all over the rumors of the 900 weeks before the announcement, but with the Lumia 920 still soaring in the media buzz, we can’t stop but wonder what Nokia is planning for this event. We’ve heard tons of talk about a Nokia Windows RT tablet in the works, and it makes sense for the company to leave the Lumia 920 in its crowned glory for a couple of extra months while their new tablet gains traction.
We’ll be covering MWC like there’s no tomorrow, so stay tuned for some instant hands-on video coverage of what goes down.
