Sony has been known to pre-apply screen protectors on its phones for quite some time now and it will also be the case with the recently announced Xperia Z flagship. However, according to some recent images, above and below, removing this screen protector will leave your Xperia Z unbranded.
It is not quite sure whether we’re looking at pre-production/prototype behavior or your retail Xperia Z will be similar; apparently, removing the screen protector will also remove the branding as the Sony logo is imprinted on the protective foil itself, rather than the glass. It’s not quite easy to remove the sheet on top of the glass but, as the attached pictures testify, the glass underneath is, well, unbranded.
