Samsung unleashed another Android phone and, as expected, this too is a Galaxy. However, the Galaxy Xcover 2 is a phone for those who are constantly in environments which might jeopardize their devices; ruggedized build meets mid-range specs and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Aside from being dust, sand, and water proof (to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes), it allows you to take pictures under water with its main five-megapixel camera at the back. Powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, the Xcover 2 also packs a four-inch WVGA screen, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of Internal Storage (expandable via microSD card), as well as a VGA front-facer. There are no exact details about pricing and availability so we’ll make sure to check the Xcover 2 out at MWC, while maybe dropping it in a fish tank.
