We love seeing new hardware confirmed at trade shows like CES, but they’re also great places to take a peek at designs that aren’t yet ready for the commercial phase. That’s what we did when we stopped by the Noitavonne booth, taking a look at some of the company’s ideas for what could be next for smartphones and tablets.
These Noitavonne designs are very colorful, with bold accents, and feel really nice in the hand. Noitavonne extends its same basic design principles to phones, small tablets, and large tablets alike. To be clear, we don’t know if any of this stuff will ever be available in stores, but it sure is fun to look at.
The company even had some functional hardware to show off, including a ruggedized design that adds a little color to the dark, industrial look so many of these phones fall victim to (though we’re not entirely sure if this is an all-new device or just one that’s been re-shelled). We gave the phone a little abuse, and it still kept right on ticking. Check it all out in our video:
