We got a chance to look at Samsung’s ATIV Smart PC and Smart PC Pro back at the IFA in August, and now it’s time for some of that hardware to start finding a home on US carriers. We go hands-on with the Smart PC as it will come to AT&T as part of this year’s CES coverage.
Running Windows RT, the ATIV Smart PC runs an Intel Atom SoC at 1.5GHz, has 2GB of RAM, and features a 11.6-inch 1366×768 display. These are the same specs we saw four months ago, and really all that’s changed here is the inclusion of the LTE modem for wireless data service on AT&T’s network.
Just like the Surface RT, there’s an attachable keyboard if you need to get some work done, though as an RT device, instead of something running Windows 8 Pro, you’re going to be limited as to just what apps you have available at your disposal.
