We’re on a bit of a Windows Phone roll this evening, and we’ve got one more entry to help keep things moving. You might remember that last fall we heard about Samsung’s ATIV Odyssey, and even got to check out some early press renders, but besides knowing that the phone would be coming to Verizon, we didn’t have any details on it. Today Samsung has gone ahead and made the ATIV Odyssey official, finally spelling-out just what we can expect.

The ATIV Odyssey feels like it’s more to the mid-range of Windows Phone 8 devices, with a four-inch WVGA AMOLED screen, five-megapixel main camera, and 8GB storage. It runs a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon, has a 2100mAh battery, and of course will operate on Verizon’s LTE network. Like so many other recent Verizon models, it will support global roaming.

We still don’t have anything like a launch date or price tag for the Odyssey, but Verizon says that the phone will be available “in the coming weeks”.

Considering Samsung held its CES event today, it’s almost odd to hear this phone announced quietly via press release, with no public fanfare.
