Last December, we saw Google offer some great deals through the then-Android-Market as part of its 10 Billions Apps celebration. With a bunch of great titles marked-down to just ten cents each, the savings were almost too much to pass up. While that app sales milestone is a distant memory, that’s not going to stop Google from running some new deals this year, and today the company unveiled the start of its surprise calendar countdown.
The countdown will run from today through January 1, with new one-day-deals each day. Today’s is a $35 booking credit for use with the Hotel Tonight app, but even if that’s not to your taste, there are still fifteen more days of savings to go.
We fully expect to see Google run the gamut of its Play Store offerings, with future deals covering apps, movies, TV, books, and all. We’re not sure if any of these promotions will extend to hardware, and while that might be too much to ask, we’ve definitely got our fingers crossed. Who knows? Maybe Google found an old shipment full of Nexus Qs collecting dust that it want to unload cheap. Keep checking with Google to see the latest deals, and we’ll be sure to post a heads-up for any especially great ones.
