Jelly Bean updates have been starting to trickle out for Samsung’s Galaxy S III in the US, and a little earlier this month we brought you word of AT&T’s update becoming available for its GS3 owners. If you went with Verizon’s Galaxy S III, instead, you may have been feeling a little left out, but you won’t have cause to for much longer; Verizon has just published support docs on its website announcing the arrival of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the GS3, signaling its imminent release.
Verizon has a tendency to get these kind of docs up a tad early, so it could still be a few days before we get the first word of the Jelly Bean update hitting any customers’ handsets, but make no mistake: it’s on its way. Unless something goes very wrong, we expect to see distribution underway by the end of the week. Rumors have suggested that things might kick off on December 14, which would definitely fit the kind of window we’re talking about.
