The Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ is one of the newest Amazon tablets and in case you missed our unboxing you should watch it right now, especially the software parts, because the ROM from this tablet has been ported to the Samsung Nexus S. We’ve seen ports left and right but this Kindle Fire HD 8.9 port is among the select few Amazon-made ROMs to run on another device.
Expect a lot of unstable operation and bugs but if you have to check it out, and you know you do, you should know that it boots just fine, if you do you it right. However, the camera doesn’t work (since there’s none on the Kindle Fire HD 8.9), and neither does the sound, a couple of settings, calling and some more. It also reboots quite often so this ROM won’t make it to your “daily-driver” collection. Jump over to the source below to read about instructions and feedback if you must check it out!
