Two weeks ago, Google put the Nexus 4 up for sale… and it sold out in seemingly record time. While plenty of you were able to get your orders in before Google hit capacity, many more were left unable to get their orders in. The persistent among you were able to get your order submitted anyway, after hammering away on the refresh button, but with Google’s first wave of stock already spoken for, the company let customers know that their orders should ship within three weeks. It’s sounding likely that Google will meet that goal, as it’s already started sending out update emails claiming that Nexus 4 orders should ship this week.
Google’s update email informs customers that those Nexus 4 orders should be shipping out sometime later this week, and when the phones are finally in the mail, Google will follow-up with tracking info. To apologize for the wait, shipping fees should be refunded after the fact, within another week or two.
