Lately, we’ve been hearing more and more details rumored about Sony’s upcoming 1080p Androids, codenamed Odin and Yuga. It’s started to look like the Yuga could be the Japanese version of the phone, while Odin would see an international release. As we wait to get official news on the phones (fingers crossed for CES or MWC), some images have surfaced that may be the first pictures we’ve seen captured with this Sony hardware.

Back around when we first heard the name Odin mentioned, it was associated with three different model numbers. The presumption at the time was that these models C6502, C6503, and C6506 were all the Odin, but possibly with different radio configurations for launch in various markets around the globe. Two of those numbers show up here, tied to these new photos.

First we have an image that reveals in its EXIF data that it was captured by the Sony C6503. It’s been heavily cropped, so it doesn’t give us a great idea of the phone’s camera performance, but it’s still very interesting as evidence of the existence of the hardware itself.

There was also a pic apparently taken by a Sony C6502, but it’s been subsequently removed from Picasa. That may have something to do with being saved in a folder containing the string “SEMC”, suggesting an internal Sony source who may not have intended the image to go public. Luckily, phoneArena managed to snag a screenshot while it lasted, which you can check out below.
