Nokia Lumia 920 Sold-Out At Amazon Due To Tremendous Demand
Even if it’s lack of a solid ecosystem leaves the Nokia Lumia 920 as a solid runner-up in the smartphones we’d recommend you get this holiday season, there’s no denying that Nokia has done a good job in making it irresistible. I mean just think about it, you’re not only getting an extremely competitive device that also packs unique features on the side of the camera and other areas, but it’s dirt cheap. First it started at $99 after a two-year contract on AT&T, then they dropped the price in half for these holidays, and you could even get the phone out of a contract for just $450.
As it turns out, the device has shown enough popularity to go in back order since yesterday on Amazon.com. It started at the same prices we previously mentioned, and then raised it’s off-contract price to $580. Take my word for it, I’ve been trying to buy one on Amazon for the past three days and the possible arrival date was pushed all the way until January 4th, 2013. As it stands now, the device is already sold out in all colors except White and Black due to tremendous demand, and if you want the colors we just mentioned, well expect a long wait for them.
This is good news. Surely I’m personally stuck without a Lumia at the moment, but it’s refreshing to see that Nokia is finally getting a break after a job well done. Again, we can’t stress enough how important it is that you think long and hard about how limited the ecosystem is at the moment, but that doesn’t mean that Nokia is to blame, and these sales figures prove that customers feel the same. We’ll keep a look-out for you in case they get additional devices to sell at the previous prices.
