Yesterday we’ve heard that some owners of the GSM Galaxy Nexus, as well as some owners of the Nexus 7 can manually download their Android 4.2 Jelly Bean updates. We’ve showed you how to do it and what’s exactly new in these builds and it now appears that the firmware is reaching Nexus 7 slates over-the-air.

If you have resisted the urge to manually apply Google’s latest and greatest you will be happy to find out that the over-the-air delivery process has not only been started but it is spreading at a decent pace. Our own Nexus 7 has received the above OTA notification of the 80MB-ish download and took around five minutes to install. We’re now running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the below details on our 8GB white Nexus 7.
