After seeing the leaked renders of the phone at the beginning of November, Verizon officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II. It will be available “in the coming weeks” both online and in Verizon stores for $129.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.
In terms of specs, the slide-out QWERTY phone packs a Snapdragon S4 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, eight-megapixel main camera, and 4G LTE capabilities. NFC is also on-board as well as a global radio for operation in over 200 countries. The specs aren’t stellar compared to flagships available today but the price is definitely attractive if you’re into QWERTY keyboards (which are becoming more and more difficult to find on phones).
