Sprint customers already got a taste of Jelly Bean on their Samsung Galaxy S III devices and, while other carriers are rumored to roll the refresh out next year, we’ve already seen a leaked Verizon Android 4.1 ROM for the Samsung 2012 flagship. More recently we’re being treated with another one giving us hope that with all these leaks the official firmware will be out by year’s end.
There’s a pre-rooted (de)odexed ROM available to download for the brave that ignore all the warnings and love to tinker with their devices. It is Android 4.1.1 with build JRO3L.I535VRBLJ1 and is dated October 24. You can find details, feedback and instructions at the source links below but if you want to play it safe you’d better wait for the official update to hit your device over-the-air, whenever that will be.
