We were glad to see incredibly attractive prices for the LG Nexus 4 when the new pure-Android was officially announced. $300 and $350, depending on storage options, are killer prices but it appears that there is a catch, at least outside of the US (in Spain, to be more specific). The Phone House Espana has issued a press release with some very interesting bits of information.

The large retailer said, on its Spanish Facebook page, that they will no longer release the new Nexus 4 by Google and LG, as planned for November 13. The reason behind this move, according to Phone House Spain, is the LG recommended retail price of €599 (around $766) for the phone. This together with the rest of MSRP (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) conditions are worse than those found on and promoted by Google on its website (€299 for the 8GB model and €349 for the 16GB model).

The huge difference in prices is more acute in countries like Italy and Austria where future owners can’t purchase the Nexus 4 directly from Google, being forced to fork out €549-€599 for the phone. LG didn’t yet comment on the matter.

Update: Italian retailer Euronics postpones Nexus 4 availability until December. The reason is still unknown yet.
