The Galaxy S III is no doubt the most successful Samsung phone to date and it just so happens to be the best selling Android device at the moment. At the beginning of September we heard that Samsung sold 20 million units globally since its introduction and today we’re hearing an additional 10 million being added to that figure.
The total number is 30 million units globally to date, according to Samsung Poland, who have made the announcement on their Facebook and Twitter pages. Sadly, the Twitter and Facebook pages where the announcement was made were pulled, which begs the question on whether the information was correct or whether it is up to another Samsung account to post it.
The number, if true, results in an average of 6 million units per month if we divide the total 30 million to five months (from its availability in June until the end of October). The US market has definitely helped boost the figures and it the outlook is good for the upcoming holiday season.
