With Android 4.2 (still Jelly Bean) out some phones are two versions behind. The Samsung Galaxy S III on Verizon is one of those phones and the outlook isn’t necessarily the pretties as a company spokesperson declared that US variants of the phone might not get the official refresh until next year (though Sprint seems to be the most hard-working among all). There’s still good news for Verizon Galaxy S III owners as a Jelly Bean beta ROM has been leaked with build date October 8. How long until the official roll-out is anyone’s guess but if you must take it for a spin against all warnings hit up the source link.
Still Verizon, though another phone: Motorola Droid RAZR HD. We recently reviewed the phone and, just like in the example above, there’s a leaked build of Jelly Bean out there. However, this appears to be a “non official Jelly Bean leak, not an OTA, not from Verizon”, as the leakster acknowledges. The build is 9.1.39 and if you ignore all warnings you might be stuck on this forever as there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to revert. More details at the source link below.
