Three weeks, three grand prize winners. That was the promise, and today, we’re delivering for a third and final time.
The final week’s grand prize winner is Dharmik Mehta! Congratulations! We’ve sent you an official contest-winner email, and your grand prize -one Nexus 7 tablet, a silicone jelly case, and a ShatterProof screen protector (when available)- will be mailed to you soon after we receive your shipping information.
One last time, we thought everyone might appreciate a peek into the methodology we used to determine a winner. There were 379 entries this week, of which about 95% bore the correctly formatted hint sentence, which was “Biggest Is Not Always Best” (not case- or spelling-sensitive). We also accepted reasonable variations containing all five words.
We then used random-number generator Random.org to provide an integer between 1 and 379, which yielded the number 303. That number corresponded to Dharmik Mehta’s entry, which bore the correctly-worded sentence. Once we confirmed that Dharmik had liked and/or followed Amzer on Twitter and/or Facebook, the process was complete.
We used a similar process to select our three runner-up winners, each of whom will be receiving one ShatterProof screen protector for a device of their choice (pending availability):
Robert Rohrback
Reynald Abasiar
Jared Goodman
Congratulations also to the runners-up!
We’d like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in the contest, from our regular readers to first-time visitors. We don’t get to do giveaways too often, but they’re a lot of fun, and we hope to have more opportunities to do so in the future. Thank you for your submissions!
