HTC’s apparently been feeling a bit nostalgic lately, and recently took a trip down memory lane for the creation of this “Evolution of the Smartphone” infographic.
It’s a nice, if brief look back at how we got to the mobile device landscape we have now. HTC can’t seem to help itself from making a few jabs at its competition along the way, even while calling out their achievements.
The company’s already made public its distaste for hardware QWERTY keyboards, and here it decries BlackBerry for building a brand around such features. The whole thing’s a bit tongue-in-cheek, and this doesn’t feel like anything more than some friendly trash talking.
HTC also pokes fun at Apple, congratulating the iPhone 5 on moving up to a display “almost as big as the HTC One X” (not quite), and referencing the iOS 6 Maps fiasco. Check out the full chart below:
