We’ve already heard some very detailed rumors of what Google may have planned for its October 29 event, including everything from the LG Nexus 4, to a ten-inch Nexus tablet, to a 32GB Nexus 7, and even Android 4.2. We could listen to such rumors all day, but ultimately, they’re just that: rumors. Well, this may not be official word from on high, but the closest thing to confirmation to cross our path yet has just surfaced, with an LG exec talking about what we can expect from Google’s event.
Amit Gujral, Head of Mobile Devices & VAS for LG in India, recently said in an interview, “Google will unveil the LG Nexus on October 29 and the phone will be available in the Indian markets by the end of November.” He continued by describing the phone’s 4.7-inch screen, 1.5GHz quad-core SoC, and confirming that it would arrive running Android 4.2.
Unfortunately, Gujral didn’t attempt to confirm the phone’s name, which we’re all still assuming will be the Nexus 4. We’ll find out if that’s close to the mark when Google finally makes things official, one week from today.
